Joe Racek

I am a full time Real Estate Principal Broker and Co-Owner of MR Real Estate in Blacksburg. My wife, Lisa, and I have called Blacksburg our home for many years. We have four children, three are now in college and our youngest is finishing high school. I am driven with a passion to help provide housing solutions for others. I have organized many volunteers to participate in the local To Our House program which provides food and shelter for those without homes during the colder months, which is the time when these resources are most needed. I have also served as president of Network of Giving, which began years ago with the mission of working to enable churches and nonprofits to collect donations online, which was cutting edge technology during that time!Before transitioning to a career in real estate, I worked as a church leader in a large college ministry (NLCF) at Virginia Tech. After seven years of full-time college ministry, I co-led a team that raised over $1.2M and started a network of churches (Kairos) in Los Angeles. After working for seven years, establishing three neighborhood churches in Los Angeles, our family moved back to Blacksburg and I now serve as a volunteer elder at Mosaic.
